TGAES hydrocarbon gas detector is an open path infrared gas detector that provides continuous monitoring of combustible hydrocarbon gas concentrations in the range of 0 to 1,5 LEL/m, 0-2,5 LEL/m, 0-5 LEL/m, over a distance of 5 to 200 meters. The TGAES has an explosion proof certified enclosure. TGAES is also certified by international accreditation agencies for SIL-2 rating.
The TGAES Gas Detector is an open path infrared gas detection system that provides continuous monitoring of combustible hydrocarbon gas concentrations at a distance of 15 to 650 feet (5 to 200 meters). No direct electrical connection between the two modules is required. In some applications, one TGAES detection system can provide protection equivalent to as many as eight point detectors.
The TGAES transmitter module illuminates a direct linear path ending at the TGAES receiver module. As flammable hydrocarbon gases intersect the light beam between the two modules, certain IR wavelengths are absorbed by the gas providing reliable gas detection.
TGAES has two built-in heaters to protect optics and internal electronics from condensation. The built-in continuous self-check function will notify you if anything is obstructing optical path or circuit integrity problems.
This Line-of-Sight gas detector (LOS) comes with multiple outputs as standard and you can choose whether to connect via 4-20mA, RS485, Relays as well as imbedded or external HART communication to your system for reliable communication.
